*2 CORE ITEMS THEY WANT: NODE & AWS EXPERIENCE** (someone who has built an
application from scratch not just enhanced code)*
*MANAGER NOTES: *
- Looking for a strong developer
- A lot of existing systems that need modification but when a new build
comes out this person will come up with the preliminary solution, take a
high level view of the platform and present their solution to the team
- Will help prioritize the work with the supervisors/manager
- Strong communicator
- Need a strong developer to help build APIs, UIs, automate and organize
- Ideally Looking for:
- AWS
- Strong experience with an Object Oriented Framework : Java, C#,
.Net Core,etc.
- Strong experience with Python or other scripting languages
(powershell, bash, etc)
- Strong UI
- Their tech moving more and more to the cloud every day – 15% there now
from nothing
- This person will help to shape and mold the cloud strategy as they
continue to build it out
- This group is currently .Net and building on Node & Python to speed
things up
- *Eventually* the stack will be .Net Core, Python & Node
*Essential Functions*
• Participate and contribute in the full project life cycle, including
gathering requirements, system design, implementation, testing, deployment,
and support of applications.
• Operate as a full-stack developer and able to be successful diverging
outside of your comfort level.
• Follow standard software development methodologies and SDLC practices to
produce high quality applications in an efficient manner.
• Participate in estimating assigned work effort and be accountable for
completion dates
• Document code so other engineer can reuse and support components in the
future.
• As needed, help and mentor more junior developers on implementation
• Troubleshoot critical production issues if needed
• Production release management and support as-needed.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
*Knowledge*
Client facing application development experience
Strong programming experience with the above languages and willingness to
learn and apply new languages as needed
Strong design pattern knowledge
Relational and Non-Relational database experience desired.
*Skills*
Experience working with and/or creating CI/CD pipelines. VSTS preferred,
but not required.
Database experience writing and debugging SQL, stored procedures and
triggers.
Candidate must be able to contribute in all layers of technical design,
development, testing, implementation, and support
Experience developing, and supporting large-scale, complex
platforms/applications
AWS experience desired, but not required. Other cloud experience acceptable.
*Education*
College degree or related equivalent experience preferred.
*Experience*
3+ years' experience working with Node.js, C#, Javascript, Css, HTML and
other scripting languages.
Core Competencies
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work within an Agile team environment
