*Duration: 1 yr + ext.* *Overall Role Summary:* This position designs, develops, tests and maintains software product applications with the Big Data space *Essential Functions* · Participates in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing software systems and applications. · Contributes in development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. · Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. · Support, and document software functionality. · Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. · Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. · Provide critical input in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. · Consult with the end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. · Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained. *Skill Requirements:* *EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT*: with a Master’s degree: Three (5) years of experience in the job offered or three (5) years of experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis. With a Bachelor’s degree: Five (7) years of experience in the job offered or five (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis. *SKILLS REQUIREMENT:* · *Strong object-oriented design and development skills* · Good understanding of data structures and algorithms. · Solid hands-on expertise in *programming/scripting experience in Java or Scala* · *Experience on Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive/HiveQL and HBase.* · Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting Hello, GOOD DAY!
