*Splunk Developer/Admin*



Responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the
company’s application portfolio, participating in all phases of the
development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business
unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology
platforms.



*Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:*

•Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business
requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs
with the business.

•Expertise in Splunk Searching and Reporting modules, Knowledge Objects,
Administration, Dashboards, Clustering and Forwarder Management.

•Proficient in Splunk administration tasks such as installing, configuring,
monitoring and tuning.

•Experience with log parsing, complex Splunk searches, including external
table lookups.

•Designing and maintaining production-quality Splunk dashboards.

•Create Dashboards, Visualizations, Statistical reports, scheduled
searches, alerts and knowledge objects.

•Splunk configuration that involves different web application and batch,
create Saved search and summary search, summary indexes.

•Splunk search construction with ability to create well-structured search
queries that minimize performance impact.

•Support and execute arrangements considering a full information lifecycle
(Search & Investigate, Add Knowledge, Monitor & Alert, Report & Analyze).

•Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as
necessary.

•Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the
preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with
programs will be written.

•Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.

•Ensures unit testing is completed and meets the test plan requirements,
system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.

•Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data
information planning effort. Coordinates and manages on-call support and
owns the system monitoring process.

•Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise
team.







*Required Skills:*

•Requires a BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training.

•6+ years in IT infrastructure, networking, architecture, administration,
or security.

•2+ years’ experience with Splunk on a large enterprise level.

•Demonstrated record of providing an AWESOME customer service orientation /
mindset with innate desire to ‘Make a Difference’.

•Splunk configuration that involves different web application and batch,
create Saved search and summary search, summary indexes.

•Any experience with Splunk premium apps such as Splunk ES or ITSI is
welcomed.

•Ability to multitask and solve complex technical problems

•Experience working in a multi-server/cluster environment

•PERL/Linux shell scripting/Regex experience would be highly preferable

•Superior communication and presentation skills

•Splunk training and/or certifications would be a major plus

•Experience with Fluentd, DataDog, ElasticSearch is a plus.
