The chosen candidate for this position will be a Systems Performance Engineer and someone that is fluent in JEE Architecture to provide guidance/consultation/testing with respect to engineering Java software for performance to product delivery teams and aligning infrastructure configurations for best overall performance. They will provide guidance and testing services to architects, developers, operations personnel, network personnel, etc. with respect to helping teams design and develop high performing Java applications that operate with a predictable platform design with respect to capacity.
Required Skill: • Hands-on Design /Coding on enterprise software development before becoming Performance Engineer • More than 5 years of experience in tuning business applications for high performance • Experience with JVM monitoring, diagnosing, and tuning for optimal application performance. • Experience with Performance Analysis/Troubleshooting while providing solutions to optimize application transaction response time and throughput • Good understanding of memory management (i.e. garbage collection algorithms), multithreading, and thread/connection pooling • Good understanding of database technology (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and optimization techniques at DDL and DML levels • Experience with profilers (YourKit, VisualVM, and JConsole) and heap analysis tools • Experience with Load generation and analysis tools (HP LoadRunner/StormRunner, JMeter, Silk Performer, and HP Performance Center) • Knowledge of Java deployment structures (Jar, War…) • Experience updating metrics to a Monitoring system like Splunk, ELK, or Nagios • Admin level experience of Unix variants (Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, and BSD) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills Desired Skills: • More than 5 years of experience in Java application development • Excellent Java Development skills with focus on core Java, memory management, and multithreading • Experience with the frontend development (JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS) • Experience with AWS, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Google Cloud • Knowledge in Continuous Delivery concepts. Experience building pipelines from dev to production • Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Puppet and/or Ansible • Experience with cloud deployment tools (cloud foundry, AWS, Azure,…) • Good understanding and practical experience in Agile methodology • Good understanding of infrastructure technologies • Broad knowledge of development tools & techniques • Build tools like Maven, Gradle Thanks...
