I am in search of a few genuine "* AIX/Unix Adminstrator*” for a contract
with one of our client. Below is the brief description about the role.



*Job Title          : AIX/Unix Adminstrator*

*Location           : Boston, MA | Framingham, MA*

*Term                : Long Term*

*Experience       : 10+ Years*



*Job Description:*

·         10 plus year experience in AIX Administrator/VCS Admin:

·         Support production, test and development hardware platforms by
monitoring for issues, troubleshooting issues, and fulfilling end user
requests.

·         Perform patch management and system upgrades

·         Set up LPARs and WPARs based on client needs

·         Monitor and identify performance and security issues and escalate
or resolve

·         Install and configure new equipment, break / fix maintenance on
equipment, participate in data center moves of equipment, inventory, asset
management and configuration management

·         Setup installation of monitoring and security products. OS
hardening

·         Perform patch management and system upgrades* Monitor and
identify performance and security issues and escalate or resolve

·         Install and configure new equipment, break / fix maintenance on
equipment, participate in data center moves of equipment, inventory, asset
management and configuration management

·         Support IBM SAN and related servers and appliances

·         Having Veritas Cluster System experience (install/configuration)

·         OS migration and Migration from P5 to P8 is required.

·         LPM (Live Partition Mobility) experience is required

·         Individual candidate should have the capability to trouble shoot
any P1 issue.

·         Good to have knowledge about scripting. e.g KSH, Perl

·         IBM/AIX or related certifications a plus.

·         previous systems administration experience on multiple hardware
platforms and operating systems in a large environment (at least 200
servers).
