contract with one of our client. Below is the brief description about the
role.

*Job Description:*

·         Design and implement robust database administration solutions
including resource management, security, backup and recovery, performance
monitoring and tuning, data management and capacity planning.

·         Planning and implementing failover between database instances for
High availability (Replication, Always-On, Mirroring)

·         Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client
operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with
clients; evaluating current systems.
Install and configure new SQL Servers. Installing, configuring and
upgrading SQL server software and related products. Perform routine DBA
activities & service requests.

·         Design and implement scripts for instance monitoring,
maintenance, backup, cloning, etc.

·         Utilizing T-SQL, SSIS, Reporting Services and Analysis Services

·         Setup & configure Active/Passive SQL server Cluster environment
for critical Databases.

·         Monitoring and analyze Databases for Lock Escalation, Deadlock,
resource utilization by sessions, capturing long running SQL queries,
fine-tuning SQL statements that better result in efficient SQL statements
processing.

·         As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use
clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies.

·         Implement High Availability/Disaster Recovery utilizing various
methods, such as mirroring, peer-to-peer replication, and clustering.

·         When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way
to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration
changes, or index/query changes

·         Install and configure new SQL Servers & Configure SQL Server
monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.

·         Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the
business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) .

·         Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time
Objectives (RTO).

·         Involved in migrating SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, and 2008R2
databases to SQL server 2012, 2014, and 2016 databases.

·         Performance Analysis and Production Support for Large (VLDB) and
Complex Databases expertise

·         Working on tool like SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard, and
Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning MS SQL Server
performance

·         Expertise in planning and implementing Database Security by
creating users, Roles, and assigning permissions to them

·         Must be willing to relocate at project location

·         Installation, Backup, production Support, Performance Tuning,
Monitoring, Troubleshooting, disaster Recovery, migration and upgrades

·         Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment

·         Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication

·         Ability to work independently

·         Exposure to SQL query performance Tuning and Experience of
Production Support.

·         Knowledge of Business flow in Manufacturing Industry is
advantage.

·         Exposure to ERP MS AX Dynamics R12 is advantage
