Romania interbelica nu a fost lipsita de contraste in ceea ce priveste 
conditiile de viata  munca  gradul de cultura  nivelul de salarizare. Nivelul 
mediu al venitului burgheziei romanesti a fost  in aceasta perioada  de 200 000 
lei pe an. O statistica din 1938 arata ca in Romania traiau 716 oa-neni cu un 
venit la nivelul milioanelor de lei  70 529 cu venitul mai mare de 1C 000 lei 
si peste 300 000 cu venituri intre 20 000 si 40 000 iei. De asemenea  continua 
sa existe o patura importanta a saracimii  la orase si mai ales la sate  traind 
sub indicele minim de viata. S-a repercutat greu asupra populatiei si cresterea 
numarului de someri  ca si apasarea impozitelor
