 literatura romana si cultura poporului  ASTRA . Lupta
 populatiei romanesti catre o reala liberalizare a regimului
 politic a aflat expresia sa cea mai insemnata in cadrul
 lucrarilor Dietei de la Sibiu  din 1863-1864. Aici au
 fost votate legea cu privire la egala indreptatire a
 natiunii romane si a confesiunilor sale cu celelalte natiuni
 din Transilvania  ca si o lege prin care limba romana
 era recunoscuta drept limba oficiala in Transilvania 
 alaturi de cea maghiara si germana.
