 si a preturilor la produsele agricole si industriale  cresterea numarului de 
someri. Circa 10 000 intreprinderi de diverse categorii au fost declarate 
falimentare. in 1932  cand criza a atins apogeul in Romania  valoarea 
productiei industriale a scazut cu 50% in ansamblul economiei. Singura ramura 
care a continuat sa aiba cresteri de productie a fost cea petroliera. 
Concomitent  exportul de produse petroliere a urcat de la 3 milioane tone la 5 
milioane tone intre 1929-1933  deoarece pretul la titei era in scadere.
