There are few easy manual tricks other than *Open and Repair* which can 
help you repair Excel file. You can try to insert slides from corrupt 
PowerPoint presentation into a new one. Also, you can try to locate the 
temporary (*.tmp) file of corrupt PowerPoint presentation and recover data 
from it. There's one more thing you can try here, open the corrupt 
PowerPoint presentation in a different way and/or in a different 
application like OpenOffice Impress. In fact, this is the very first thing 
you should try when you face corruption in PowerPoint presentation. You can
