VA* *Duration: 5 months+ GC or Citizens ONLY* *BASIC PURPOSE:* The WebSphere Middleware administrator will perform the following: • Installation, configuration and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a Websphere environment • Support the Service Transition Branch and its customers by enforcing standards, reviewing and processing Requests for Changes, building change schedules, executing software migration requests, supporting Release implementations, and supporting Service Transition automated systems and other Configuration Management Databases *QUALIFICATIONS -- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES*: Required • Hands on experience in the installation, configuration, tuning/sizing, clustering, deployment and problem resolution of Websphere Middleware Components • Ability to use or develop tools to automate maintenance, configuration changes, password changes, deployments and migrations of Websphere Middleware components • Familiarity with Rational BuildForge, BPM and Splunk • Experience creating scripts (wsadmin, shell, perl, ant, Jython, Python, Jacl) • Ability to install and configure Websphere MQ servers.
