Position: *MicroStrategy Developer*
Location: *Foster City, CA*
Duration: *1 year, then extensions to 2 years*
Interview Process: Phone then WebEx (onsite is *not* required)

Description:
We are looking for a highly driven individual with recent significant
experience with MicroStrategy BI development tool. The person should be
able to work with the end users, gather requirements, generate design
documents, develop, and support BI applications developed using
MicroStrategy.
*Must have skills:*
Top required skills are MicroStrategy, Hadoop eco-system, and SQL.
Candidate must have significant experience with all 3. Candidate must be
familiar with the Agile methodology. The other most important skill
required is the ability to work independently and be self motivated.
Nice to have skills:
Scripting language is a plus, but not required.
Roles and responsibilities:
As previously mentioned, candidate must be able a self starter and be
able to work independently. The worker will be given deliverables on day 1
and must be able to meet all sprint deadlines. This is a high priority
project for Visa.
Task:
• Prior experience working in *Agile* model is a must
• Create/Update MicroStrategy schema using multisource model for DBMS and
Hadoop (through Hive/Impala/Phoenix)
• Working knowledge of Hadoop eco-system is a must
• Working knowledge of HBase is desired
• Ability to code in Pig, Python is a plus
• Create/Update reports, dashboards as per requirements
• Knowledge of Integrity Manger and Enterprise Manager to automate and
monitor test reports
• Support Deployment; Create documents, Integrity Manager test cases, and
product support hand over documents
• Attend meetings and support other functional teams as needed
*Skill set required:*-
• Senior MicroStrategy architect and reporting experience
• Excellent SQL knowledge and understanding needed
• Excellent written and oral communication; Ability to explain complex
design items through documents and white-board sessions
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of the tasks
