In my opinion, a person that asks this type of question (especially in an
interview) seems to be more interested in "book" knowledge instead of
"practical" knowledge.

To me, it's not as important that you know the answer to a question like this,
but that you know where to FIND the answer to a question like this!

I've got over 20 years experience in programming and have written and maintain
over 120,000 lines of VBA code, and I had to LOOK UP the answer to your
question.  Because I don't KNOW how many types there are, but I know when to
use them!

If you simply type "data types" in the vba help box, you'll find that there are
13 types:

Boolean
Byte
Currency
Date
Double
Integer
Long
LongLong
LongPtr
Object
Single
String
Variant (default)
As for interview questions:  simply Google:
vba interview questions and answers

there are 82,000 hits...
