To recover data of excel file from a damaged excel file use a recovery tool. If you have backup then recovery becomes easy but what when you don't have backup file and want to recover excel file. In this case use *excel recovery software <http://msexcel.filerepairtool.net/blog/recover-ms-excel-file-data-properties>* because it makes one able to restore a damaged excel file without need of backup file.
