It's possible that the other users have their macro settings set for a prompt when opening and select to disable macros. There's a couple of ways to handle this: Lock and protect the entire sheet, or even hide it. Create a workbook_Open event that unhides or unprotects the sheet. If they've disabled the macros, the Workbook_Open event won't run and enable the sheet, therefore the users cannot use the workbook without enabling the macros. Another way would be to simply set all the cells to "unlocked" and "lock" the particular column and protect the sheet. You can then use a Workbook_Open event to look at the user's login id and unlock the sheet for those that should have access to the column.
