There are many possibilities, but most depend on your computer system. Do you (or someone else) regularly back up your folders? If this is a company computer, does someone else back up the folders where you stored this file?
If so, then the file can be restored from the last backup. If not, then: Do you have your Excel set up to do "autobackup"? If so, then check your configuration and find the location for the backup file. BUT, if you've continued to work on the file, chances are that this backup has been replaced. Other than that, unless you've made a copy, your file has been permanently changed. ------------- On files that I worry about being corrupted before saving, I include a BeforeSave event macro that keeps a weekly copy of the file before saving. That is, the first time every week that a file is saved, it retains a copy. That way, at least I can restore the file to the state it was in at the beginning of the week. It also deletes backups over 4 weeks old.
