Back to one of my several earlier questions: Are the Item Master rate dates "regular"? That is: Will there be an entry for a specific item every week/month/quarter/year??
If so, then we could develop a Dictionary Object and store, say, each Item Master and the rate for each Quarter. Then, from the register, determine which Quarter the date falls into, and look up the rate for that quarter. If it ISN'T "regular", then we'll have to work out a different methodology. Even though the data is large, can you supply some "sample" data for formatting? Even 100 lines or so would be helpful. It is a sample data (for reference purpose only) and your understanding described in reply is correct. However, have knowingly put an errorneous rate in Sales Register for F001 with date as 1-Apr-12 (rate - 2.5) even though item master has defined a rate of 2 since would like to know such error case in actual data. The Rate established on a date, should ideally apply until changed at a subsequent date during invoicing. But in actual data on a random basis could find few errors in rate applied on invoices. Since actual data is voluminous (100MB+) cannot attach it. Need your help to develop a formula / macros for quick identification. Hi Rajan, Applied the formula suggested by you, but it showed #N/A. Pls advise.
