JAVA Software Engineer Raleigh, NC Primary Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain Defined Benefit Calculation Engine applications * Take a leadership role in technical design and product implementation discussions. * Participate in establishing and documenting coding best practices to ensure projects meet architectural guidelines * Mentor/Train new associates * Write detail unit test plans associated with the design of the software components * Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts/development * Strong understanding of UML and Rational Rose Modeling Tools * Very good understanding of SQL and relational databases * Perform object-oriented analysis and design, including Blaze, Java and using Object Modeling and Sequence Diagrams * Develop code in Blaze, Java using the Blaze IDE and Eclipse IDE * Create, update and maintain technical documentation for software-based projects * Performing diligent regression testing, utilizing application GUIs, creating calculation style sheets and other development related tasks * Translate technical systems design to functioning code * Ability to multi-task, possess strong project management skills * Must be pro-active in questioning and clarifying business requirements in relation to systems capabilities Education and Experience * Bachelor's Degree (Math, Computer Science or related fields) * 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and SQL stored procedures Skills and Knowledge * Experience developing software utilizing OOA, OOD, and OOP principles & design patterns * Strong Object-oriented analysis and design * Experience working in a matrix environment with project team members in multiple locations, including offshore, is preferred * Familiarity with actuarial science a plus Vinay Kumar Diverse Lynx LLC. 300 Alexander Park, Suite # 200 Princeton, NJ 08540 Phone: 732-452-1006 ext 208 Fax: 732-452-0684 Email: vi...@diverselynx.com<mailto:vi...@diverselynx.com>; www.diverselynx.com<http://www.diverselynx.com/> -- Join official facebook page of this forum @ https://www.facebook.com/discussexcel FORUM RULES (1120+ members already BANNED for violation) 1) Use concise, accurate thread titles.
