What is the purpose for this? On the face, it's very simple. However, it would not necessarily be ACCURATE. Basically, you would initialize a counter and loop , decrementing the counter and display the value, then use Wait() to wait for 1 second.
because the time involved in decrementing the counter and updating the cell is not included in the delay, the time could be several seconds off. Even more depending on the cpu of the machine. In addition, while the counter is running, Excel would be unavailable for use. If those restrictions are acceptable, you could use: Sub Diagram1_Click() Dim cnt, tTime cnt = 120 tTime = TimeValue("00:02:00") For cnt = 120 To 0 Step -1 tTime = tTime - TimeValue("0:00:01") Range("A1").Value = tTime Application.Wait (Now + TimeValue("0:00:01")) Next cnt End Sub Paul ----------------------------------------- “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” - John Wesley ----------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: Dhananjay Pinjan <dppin...@gmail.com> To: excel-macros <excel-macros@googlegroups.com> Sent: Wed, August 29, 2012 1:39:06 PM Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ countdown macro needed.........
