It does not truncate decimal places like when you divide 22 by 7 and format the cell for 2 decimal places, value 2 will give you the maximum number of decimal places in doing the calculation. 2) Value2 does not use the date or currency data types. If you enter 01/01/2006 in cell and then retrieve Selection.Value and Selection.Value2 you will get 01/01/2006 and 38718 respectively. -- Thanks & regards, Noorain Ansari <http://excelmacroworld.blogspot.com/> http://excelmacroworld.blogspot.com/ <http://noorain-ansari.blogspot.com/> http://noorain-ansari.blogspot.com/ On Thu, Jan 5, 2012 at 9:40 AM, chandra sekaran <duraichan...@gmail.com> wrote: Dear all What is different between .value and .value2 can you explain with range ("a1:a100") .value= .value2 end with with range ("a1:a100") .value= .value end with or with range ("a1:a100") .value2= .value2 end with i do't know how do normally use which is performance best ?
