Since 2/30/2012 is not a valid date, it evaluates the DATE(2012,2,30) as 3/1/2012 instead of 2/30/2012
It would have similar issues with each month with 30 days (April, June, September, November) if the first day of the following month were to fall on the day being tallied (For instance, the number of Thursdays in November, 2011) It may mean that the formula requires some modification.
