Jay, One can find algorithms freely available that can break the workbook or sheet passwords. For a file protection though, you would want a dedicated password recovery software, like AOPR. The trial versions can break passwords of up to 3 characters length. Anything beyond, and you would want a registered version, and that comes with a price tag.
