Workbooks.Open Filename:= _ pt & "\" & rb.Offset(0, -1).Value, _ Origin:=xlWindows, UpdateLinks:=2
With the above in a loop, a series of workbooks are open from path pt with workbook names from the variable rb.offset(0,-1).value for reading data from them and these workbooks have links to other workbooks. The update links:=2 is intended to tell Excel not to update the links. However, vba still pauses with the following prompt: <<This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated. - To change the source of links, or attempt to update values again, click Edit Links - To leave the links as is, click Continue >> How can this pause be avoided? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some important links for excel users: 1.
