Hi! Steve, Sorry for delay in responding. I have Excel workbooks with xlsm & xlsx extensions and need to apply custom stand alone icons which I find rather not possible. The icon change through Windows Explorer Tools>Folder Options>FileTypes>Advanced menu applies to all files.
There are some workbook-open VBA codes on the net, but don't work and I can't remove bugs. If you happen to come across a way to create stand alone Excel file icon, please do guide.
