Dear Sir The formula given by Mr.Daniel is awesome but will give wrong results except for the first set. A slight modification as given below will bring out the intended result. =INDEX($A$1:$AE$1,1,MAX(IF($B2:$AE2="P",COLUMN($B2:$AE2))))
