Dave,
I use a version of this code to examine the "white space" in a file to
see if it is empty- if empty, I delete that range, and reduce file
size. So if the code locates a cell that is populated either with a
number or formula, it moves the cell pointer to that cell so I can
determine if that cell contains useful data.

I tried to expand the idea with that function that would also point
out if the cell has dependents elsewhere in the file, and NOT delete
that part of the range if the dependents were necessary.

My intended logic is: if a given cell is not empty, or if it has
dependents, land the cell pointer there for review. I thought I had
captured that logic. Do you interpret it otherwise?

Thanks,
Dave O
