I have a huge spreadsheet. Tab 2 - tab 300 are exact duplicates of a detailed form. Each form has 104 fields for information that must be entered. A mindless drone enters information into each of these forms as new business projects are created.
Tab #1 is a simple table, it is my master summary. Column A is a list of the 300 forms. Columns B - DX each contain one field of data from each form. So each row summarizes all 100 fields of data from one form. Simple enough? (see below) Shouldn't be a problem EXCEPT my formulas aren't behaving. Out of nowhere, the data in any given row will simply stop populating. I check the formula in the master summary, formula is fine. Check the data in the form, the field is definitely filled! I check to make sure I am set to automatically calculate. Yep. I press F9 to try to force automatic calculation anyways. Still nothing. The funny thing: If I insert my cursor into the formula editing bar, and don't make any changes, but just press enter....it's like the formula recalculates and the data shows up! But I can't do this for 100 fields of data, and that's only if one row misbehaves. I end up having to just drag the formulas down from the previous (behaving) row and do a find and replace to reference the right form. There's no explanation and I can't figure out why this happens! It's usually a block of consecutive lines that will stop populating. Somewhere between 5 and 15 lines at a time. Any idea why this happens? Or how I can fix it? Or how I can prevent it? Here's what my master summary sheet looks like. These are the rows that stop populating from the referenced form. A B C D E Form#- - - Date - - - - Unit - - - - - - City - - - -etc..... Form1 2010 Logistics NY Form2 2009 Operations NY Form3 2010 Operations NY Form4 2009 Logistics NY etc...
