Hello,

You can link the total of the first page to the following page by keeping =
and selecting the previous page total to next page opening balance total.
this is Explained by the attached sheet.

Push Alt + F11 to open VBE in VBE go to Tools -> VBA Project
Properties -> Click on the Protection tab -> Enter password twice.
Click the box "Lock project for viewing" if you don't want someone to
see your code.

Click ok. Save the workbook and close out. The next you come back in
the VBA Project is locked/Password Protected.

You may have to modify the fields of this, but try:

Option Explicit
Public Const ForReading = 1, ForWriting = 2, ForAppending = 8
Sub Split_File()
    Dim fso, fIN, fOUT, R, C, RowCnt
    Dim InFile, Outfile, tStr, tPath
    Dim strArray

    Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

    tPath = "C:\temp\vba\testing\"
    InFile = "DataFile.txt"
    If (fso.fileexists(tPath & InFile)) Then
        Set fIN = fso.OpenTextFile(tPath & InFile, ForReading)
        Do While Not fIN.atendofstream
            tStr = fIN.readline
            strArray = Split(tStr, "|")
            Outfile = strArray(10) & ".txt"
            Set fOUT = fso.OpenTextFile(tPath & Outfile, ForAppending, True)
            fOUT.WriteLine tStr
            fOUT.Close
        Loop
        fIN.Close
    Else
        MsgBox "Does not exist:" & Chr(13) & tPath & InFile
    End If
    MsgBox "Finished"
End Sub

I need a formula than can balance input data automatically. Ive been
working on this for quite sometime but unfortunately I cannot seem to
crack the secret. Let say for exampe I have 5 Teams, Team A has 4
members, Team B has 5 members, Team C has 6 members, Team D has 7
members and Team E has 9 members. Now what I need is to add this 5
Teams together and divide it into two groups of teams without dividing
the members in each team. so basically I will have the result of Team
E grouping with Team C , Team E has 9 members plus Team C has 6
members so that would be a total of 15 members, The other group of
teams would be Team A, Team B and Team D adding their members, 4 plus
5 plus 7 would be a total of 16 members. So basically this is were i
need to get. A formula that can automaticaly sort out the best
possible combination of teams for each group. For anyone that can help
me, Thanks!
