Hi I'm trying to work out how I can automate (macro or formula) finding specific data in a xls and returning the data in a nearby column.
More sepcifically, all the worksheets I'm using include a revenue total and by this total there is always the text 'ex VAT' (this always only appears once on a worksheet). I'd like to find 'ex Vat' and return the total revenue in the column 2 to the right and group these together on a summary sheet. My attempt is: =IF(A1:F100="ex vat",2,0)* * = is the area where the data can be found (could it be the entire worksheet?) Can anyone suggest a formula?
