Hi,
Try this to return the numbers only:
=MID(A1,MATCH(TRUE,ISNUMBER(1*MID(A1,ROW(1:100),1)),0),COUNT(1*MID(A1,ROW(1:100),1)))
and this to return the text only:
=MID(A1,MATCH(FALSE,ISNUMBER(1*MID(A1,ROW(1:100),1)),0),LEN(A1)-COUNT(1*MID(A1,ROW(1:100),1)))
These will only work if the numbers in your cell are always together in one
group. eg:
12345qwerty or qwerty12345 or qwe12345rty. But not 123qwe456rty or qwe123
456ty or qwe123-456rty
Change the A1 refs to suit your data.
Increase the 100 if your data is greater than 100 characters. eg: ROW(1:150)
These are array formulas, so have to be entered with Shift+Ctrl+Enter.
