Dear Members I have a sp sheet for picking up stock market data from the web. When a ticker symbol is entered into the "input dashboard" of this workbook, this workbook picks up some stock market data from the web and provides results.
As of now this could be done manually ...i.e. entering symbol by symbol to cell 2 of "input dashboard", waiting for results and copying results to (value copy) to "Output" sheet Source workbook : --------------------------------------- Since wordpress does NOT accept XL sheets, this spread sheet's extension has been changed to *.doc and is uploaded here http://bit.ly/9y00Pq. Those of you wishing to read along and help are requested to - click on the link above - download the file - DO save it to your folder, rename the file (change extension from Dox to XLS ) and open with XL Macro Requested --------------------------------------- Is it possible to write a macro that will 1. Copy a ticker symbol from the sheet "Inputs" to cell c2 of sheet "Input Dashboard" 2. Wait for sp sheet to calculate (auto calculate) data 3. After calculation, take results from cells B18 to E24 of sheet "input dashboard" and VALUE copy to sheet "Output" row 2 -> copy data from the matrix in B18 -> E24 to a row # 2 - cell B2 to AA2 or wherever the last cell would be . 3.1. I am flexible about this copy of results. The results could also be copied to sheet output ...where and how it is copied is NOT important. *Overwriting should be avoided* 4. Move to next symbol on sheet "Inputs". Copy the (next symbol) to cell c2 of sheet Input Dashboard 5. Wait for sp sheet to calculate (auto calculate) data 6. Copy second results to Cells B8 to E14 ....
