UCase function
Returns a Variant (String) containing the specified string, converted
to uppercase.
Syntax:  UCase(string)

Example

Range A10 contain text data : "tOtaL Cost"

x = UCase(Left(Range("A10")),5)
return x = "TOTAL"

x = Left(Range("A10"),5)
returns x = "tOtaL"

comparing
UCase(Left(Range("A10")),5) = "TOTAL"
returns  TRUE

comparing
Left(Range("A10")),5) = "TOTAL"
returns  FALSE
