*Dear Group,* I attached a sample worksheet which i used to extract data from it. This worksheet is part of a large workbook. This worksheet is used to dump values resulting from a formula calculated from another worksheet in the same workbook. I copy the entire range of the worksheet with formulas and dump all the data to another worksheet as values.
I like to call this dump data as excel database which i would like to query or extract data from it. For example i would like to extract the Id_no, Names, and Net pay of all the records with pay period 1 to another worksheet ( my active sheet) and to sum amount below. I can do this in the same workbook, but its difficult to extract the data from it while within the active sheet of another workbook. Question: How to extract that data from another workbook. The source workbook is open. although sometimes it maybe close by user.
