Sorry, should have checked which version of excel you have. The enable/ disable the option in 2007:
1. Click the Office button and then click Excel Options. Excel displays the Excel Options dialog box. 2. Click Advanced at the left side of the dialog box. 3. In the Editing Options section, clear the Allow Editing Directly in Cells check box. 4. Click on OK. I haven't actually used the feature in 2007 so hopefully it will function the same as 2003 (I have read that it does, but haven't tested it myself). If you have disabled the option then double- clicking should take you to the first referenced cell in the formula. Going back should be a simple matter of pressing alt+tab once.
