Why dont you include the original vb code in the new workbook?

use

application.savecopyas("\\path\name.xls")

Or

if you are anyway closing the original workbook

'delete unwanted sheets and save
applcation.displayalerts=false
sheets("unwanted1").delete
sheets("unwanted2").delete
thisworkbook.saveas("\\path\name.xls")
applcation.displayalerts=true
thisworkbook.close(false)
