Alternatively, Do the following,
1. Select the column where you want to apply the date format 2. Go to >Data>Text to Coulmn>Fixed Width>Click Next>Click at the end of date (this will insert a column break) 3. Click Next>Select from Coiumn data format Date (DMY if u like) 4. Click Finish 5. You shall have your desired output without any long and cumbersome formulae.
