Hello all I am new to this group and was wondering if you could help me with custom formatting of cells.
I have a long set of 1000+ t1 locations and they all are in this format vt1-1-a-1-1-1-5 vt1-1-b-3-5-6-1 vt1-3-b-4-5-1-2 etc. Id like the custom formatting to fill the hyphens and the vt1 portion automatically. this is what I have come up with so far "vt1-"0-0-0-0-0-0 this works for all numbers, my current issue is with the letter in the middle of the set. is there any way to have the letter also autofill? thanks for any advice. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some important links for excel users: 1.
