Hi Vidyut, As per my knowledge, you can set the validation by choosing any of the available option which are there in Data->Validation, but then you have to choose the desired item manually from the drop down.. Alternatively, if the data is already typed in the column, then Excel itself shows automatically the matching items which can be chosen by just pressing enter.
I have worked on Tally and getting the point which you are referring to, but for that MS-Excel has the following two inbuilt features:- 1. I have already explained above in second para. 2. Right click on the cell and choose "Pick from drop down list". If you have some other thing to put down here, then please share the sample workbook.
