I am trying to set up a formula to calculate the discount for sales tax filing.
The allowable discount for timely filing and paying is 1.2 percent of the first $6,000 collected and 0.9 percent for the amount above $6,000. The discount is capped at $500 for each return. The formula for the discount I have works, however, I can not figure out how to set a cap if discount is above $500.00 =IF(A11<=6000,IF(A11<0,#VALUE!,ROUND(A11*0.012,2)),72+ROUND((A11-6000) *0.009+18,2)) Thanks a lot, Michael --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some important links for excel users: 1.
