the attached sheet was just example, there are hundred of branches & account
numbers in my data. Branch code is unique but repeat many times and same like
branch account number is unique but repeat many times. But you can see that
product is unique of one customer. I often use formula =A2&"-"&B2 in source and
main sheet which return 1-426 but it's repeat so many times therefore if I use
sumif function it's return same value in one customer which repeated many
times.

I need the another column which make unique key e.g. 1-426-uniquevalue. so that
I can put the proper outstanding value infront of proper product of a proper
customer.

I hope you understand my issue and will solve it.

Regards,

Aamir Shahzad

after examining your sheet.... i find that there are four rows which have the
same combination of "branch and account" (you say they are unique) with
different values of closing balance.... so how do i differentiate among
them..... how do i find unique "branch and account"..

    Dear Vivek Agrawa,

Thanks for reply. Please find attachment. In attachment two sheet available
"Main sheet" where I want to fill information in column "Closing Balance" &
second "Source Sheet" from where I want to pick the "Closing Balance". Remeber
both sheet's data is same. Often time I have data in scattered form. e.g. Name
& product missmatch. Unique is just "Branch & Account".

But I am troubling to make a unique key for "sumif" or "vlookup" function.
This is just example I handle data which consist thousands of rows & columns.

    Thanks & regards,

    Aamir Shahzad
