There is no code involved - the form with the RefEdit control is displayed I have a cancel button that simply unloads the form but the RefEdit box still has control of Excel. I have got a workaround by not having the RefEdit be the first control with focus as then when it gets the focus you are forced to handle it before you can see the screen to select cancel, but if it gets the focus on display it is too late...
