Hi,

Here's my contribution----

If you have N/A or any other data which is commonly filled in various cells of
a work book and you would like to replace all of them with a blank or any other
character, say, Y.

Press Ctrl + F
Type the text which you wish to find
Click on Replace
Type the text you wish the found text to be replaced with
Click on Options
In the drop down shown as Within, select Workbook instead of sheet
Click on Replace All
Bingo, all the text details are replaced in the workbook.

The tip submitted by Rajesh is as follows :

Subject : Identifying Merged Cells
Tip :
  1. *Ctrl+F*. Excel displays the Find tab of the Find and Replace
dialog box.
  2. Click the Options button to make sure the Find and Replace
dialog box is expanded to show all options.
  3. Make sure the Find What box is empty.
  4. With the insertion point in the Find What box, click the Format
button. Excel displays the Find Format dialog box.
  5. Make sure the Alignment tab is displayed.
  6. Make sure the Merge Cells check box is selected (there should be
a check in the check box).
  7. Click OK to close the Find Format dialog box.
