Are the files in a single folder? What is the format of the name that you want to parse to get the third "word"? like: "file_For_Tommy.xls", "file For Tommy.txt", what delimits a "word"? Are you familiar with VBA? Have you started? I think I can throw something together quickly (10-15 minutes).
