Members working on Oracle E business Suite 11i would be aware that the
report generated in oracle is saved in “txt” form.



My requirement is with regard to  the General Ledger Report generated  under
request type “ Account Analysis – (180 Char).



For analysis purposes , the text file is required to be converted into
excel. Our organization had a macro which was being used for converting this
text file into columnar format in excel which also provided the month of
transaction and complete account mapping for each line item of GL.



Due to certain modifications in the account codes, the macros (recorded)
which was being used is not converting the data completely and after a
certain point , is deleting the transactions



A friend was kind enough to help me with a new macro which he had designed
for his organization. And this is working fine . However thought of seeking
help form this group, just in case anyone here has a macro which converts
the data from text file into columnar form in Excel file.
