I'll give a good clerical answer- we'll if it's not required everyday. Procedure: 1. in cell a2 write =A1*B1 and in cell c2 write =1*D1 2. select cells a2 till d2 3. Now point the mouse on the lower-right part of d2 cell (you will get a black + mouse pointer) 4. Now drag the formula to the right and drop it in the last cell you want. 5. Now put the formula =sum(2:2) anywhere and you will get the sum.
do you still need a formula or a macro. 2009/4/29 ҉Shine <shin...@gmail.com> > Dear All, > Could any one suggest an excel worksheet formula for calculating sum of > adjecent > pair of Cells in a Row. > > For Eg: > > =(A1*B1)+(C1*D1)+(E1*F1)+....... > > Conditions > Result is towards the right end of the numbers > Pairs of columns will be added in-between randomly at later stage. > > I have been trying with "Sumproduct" function with "mod" to identify > adjacent cells.
