I'll give a good clerical answer- we'll if it's not required everyday.

Procedure:
1. in cell a2 write =A1*B1 and in cell c2 write =1*D1
2. select cells a2 till d2
3. Now point the mouse on the lower-right part of d2 cell (you will get a
black + mouse pointer)
4. Now drag the formula to the right and drop it in the last cell you want.
5. Now put the formula =sum(2:2) anywhere and you will get the sum.

do you still need a formula or a macro.
