I have a spreadsheet where I need to combine some rows into columns.
Listed below is an example of the spreadsheet.

 Cust Id      Name       Item         Qty

 1              Joe              table       1
 1              Joe             Chair        2
 2              Sam           table        1
 3              Steve         lamp         1
 3              Steve         table         1

Is there a way to make the above spreadsheet look like the one below
where it can be used with a Word merge?

Cust Id      Name        Table     Chair      Lamp

 1               Joe               1          2
 2               Sam             1
 3               Steve            1                       1
