Srinivas,

Oh WOW.. I don't think you're getting the power of this tool AT ALL!

Copy/paste makes a DUPLICATE of the data selected.
The duplicate can then be modified so that it is then DIFFERENT than the
original.

This tool seems to act like a web-cam, in that it shows you what the area LOOKS
like.
If you change the color, font, or size of the original data, the PICTURE
UPDATES!
I actually added one of these to Sheet2 and had it point to Sheet1
(=Sheet1!$A1:$D30)
went back to sheet1 and changed the color and font, returned to Sheet2 and it
matched!
One nice thing about this is that it can cover an area, thereby essentially
"hiding" the area and providing rudimentary protection, but the cells beneath
can be modified!

Or, for testing purposes, say you have a Summary sheet that has formulas that
calculate totals from the contents of another sheet.
If you place one of these on the Data sheet, you can monitor the results while
you're making changes to the Data without jumping back and forth to the other
sheet!

Haven't started using it yet, but oh.. the possibilities!!!

THIS is the kind of stuff I joined the group for!!!

thanks!!!

Paul

Hi Ayush,
I like the tool but how different is this from copy / paste. I really don't see
any difference. Can you explain some real time scenarios where this is used
more than copy / paste.
Thanks,
Srinivas.
