The aforementioned version doesn't support Oauth2 for connections to Microsoft's Office365. As MS has cut off use of plain passwords, and none of the other methods offered by Evolution are supported by MS Office365 servers, I'm wondering when Oauth2 might become available for this use case in Evolution. In order to get Oauth2 working for 365 I had to remove my account from Online Accounts in Ubuntu settings, make sure it was completely removed from Evolution, then manually add the account as ews using https://outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx as the server. Once you add it a window will pop up for Authentication. I just did this again yesterday and a new setup and it works perfectly.
