Hi. My workplace sadly uses Microsoft technologies for collaboration and MS Outlook as the default email client. I instead use Evolution on a GNU/Linux virtual machine (VM). I used to compose emails in plain text, but then my boss told me to use HTML because plain text emails look bad on MS Outlook.
MS Outlook removes most newlines from plain text emails, sparing only runs of two or more consecutive newlines. That's the Auto Remove Line Breaks (mis)feature, which is enabled by default. For most text paragraphs this looks acceptable, but some kinds of text, such as the mail signature, look pretty bad. Is there anything I can do from Evolution side to attenuate the problem? For example, is it possible to configure Evolution to use HTML for the signature only, while sending plain text for all else? Any other workaround?
