The '-i' option depends on the filesystem. On my BTRFS /home it shows:

$ df -i /home
Filesystem     Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
/dev/sda3           0     0     0     - /home

IIRC BTRFS can dynamically grow the inode pool as needed.
